The DNS Checker Information API is an advanced tool that allows you to query DNS records in real time for any domain and record type. Ideal for developers, network administrators and cybersecurity professionals, this API provides fast, accurate and comprehensive results about a domain's DNS status and configuration.
With just one request, you can get detailed information about a wide variety of DNS records, including:
A, AAAA, CNAME, NS, SOA, MX, SRV, TXT, CAA, NAPTR, PTR, HINFO and A6. This comprehensive coverage allows you to validate mail configurations, verify DNS propagation, ensure security policies such as CAA, and much more.

The API returns detailed DNS record information for specified domains and record types, including A, AAAA, CNAME, NS, SOA, MX, SRV, TXT, CAA, NAPTR, PTR, HINFO, and A6. Each response includes relevant data fields based on the record type queried.
Key fields in the response include the record type, domain name, TTL (Time to Live), and the actual record data (e.g., IP addresses for A records, mail server details for MX records). These fields provide essential information about the DNS configuration.
The response data is structured in a JSON format, typically containing a status code, the queried domain, record type, and an array of results with detailed information for each record. This structure allows for easy parsing and utilization in applications.
The GET DNS Check endpoint requires two parameters: the domain name you wish to query and the record type (e.g., A, MX, TXT). Users can customize their requests by specifying different domains and record types to retrieve relevant DNS information.
Typical use cases include validating DNS configurations, checking DNS propagation after changes, troubleshooting email delivery issues via MX records, and ensuring compliance with security policies like CAA records. Network administrators and developers frequently utilize this API for these tasks.
Data accuracy is maintained through continuous updates from reliable DNS sources and regular quality checks. The API aggregates information from multiple DNS servers globally, ensuring that the results reflect the most current DNS configurations.
Users can analyze the returned data to troubleshoot DNS issues, validate configurations, or monitor changes over time. For example, comparing current MX records against expected values can help identify misconfigurations affecting email delivery.
If partial or empty results are returned, users should verify the domain name and record type for accuracy. Additionally, they may want to check if the DNS records exist or if there are propagation delays. Implementing error handling in their applications can also help manage such scenarios.
To obtain your API key, you first need to sign in to your account and subscribe to the API you want to use. Once subscribed, go to your Profile, open the Subscription section, and select the specific API. Your API key will be available there and can be used to authenticate your requests.
You can’t switch APIs during the free trial. If you subscribe to a different API, your trial will end and the new subscription will start as a paid plan.
If you don’t cancel before the 7th day, your free trial will end automatically and your subscription will switch to a paid plan under the same plan you originally subscribed to, meaning you will be charged and gain access to the API calls included in that plan.
The free trial ends when you reach 50 API requests or after 7 days, whichever comes first.
No, the free trial is available only once, so we recommend using it on the API that interests you the most. Most of our APIs offer a free trial, but some may not include this option.
Yes, we offer a 7-day free trial that allows you to make up to 50 API calls at no cost, so you can test our APIs without any commitment.
