The Web Results Extraction API allows you to perform custom searches and obtain detailed results directly from the world's most widely used search engine. This API delivers structured results based on a keyword or query term, returning data such as page title, description snippet, direct link, formatted URL, thumbnail, and rich content such as metadata, Open Graph tags, and social cards (e.g., Twitter Card).
Each result has the type customsearch#result and includes fields such as title, snippet, link, displayLink, formattedUrl, and HTML versions (htmlTitle, htmlSnippet, htmlFormattedUrl) that allow you to highlight matches. In addition, visual information is incorporated through pagemap, where you can access thumbnails (cse_thumbnail) and featured images (cse_image). Useful meta information is also obtained for integration with social platforms such as og:image, og:title, og:description, and twitter:card.
This allows you to leverage the power of Google search within your own platforms, displaying accurate and relevant results with a structure ready to be presented on websites, mobile applications, or dashboards.
